Brand new 197002 at the newly rebuilt Dolgarrog station on 24th June 2021. These CAF built trains will eventually take over all services in North Wales apart from Avanti and loco hauled trains.  Dolgarrog station was completely rebuilt following the floods of 2019.  Photo by Gary Thomas.

The first visit of Class 70's to the line was on 4th June 2020.  70802 and 812 are seen near Glan Conwy on an engineering train in connection with repairs to the line following flooding. Thanks to Garry Stroud for use of the photo.
